If you take a look at Seiko over the years, they have a tendency to print a lot of details on dials.  Brand, sub-brand, water resistance, all sorts of stuff.

The Socie line eschewed that habit for a modern, clean look - all the way back in 1987.  This watch actually sold for about $250 dollars back then, equivalent to nearly $700 today.

This watch has a hexagonal gold tone case, with sharp faceting throughout.  The lugs are drilled, which is a feature more commonly found on sporty watches, and makes strap changes easy.  So if you want to change up the look, you can throw any 13mm strap on there that you like.

The dial is the star of the show on this watch.  It has a gold flake texture that reminds me of modern GS dials.  Indices are applied and faceted, which heighten the luxurious feeling of the dial.  Check out the video see how it shifts and changes in the light.

There are no significant areas of wear on this watch that I can see.  It's very sharp and clean.

Comes on a NOS strap that fits a wrist up to about 7".  Running well on a new battery.
