This design from Lassale has been a recent favorite. I purchased this example as inventory, but love it so much that I had to buy another to keep in my personal collection.
Anyway, this is a polished, platinum plated tank-style case - the proportions are perfect and classic. There's some additional visual interest created by the bezel steps flanking the top and bottom of the crystal. There are some small scratches here and there on the case, but nothing large or overwhelming. Crown and cabochon are fully intact with no issues. Crystal is perfect.
The dial itself is gray and finely textured - it almost looks like hundreds of mini rivulets that meandered down the dial. The texture creates a ton of visual contrast with the polished aspects of the face. Speaking of...indices are applied, polished batons and Romans, with small printed hashes for each minute in between. The handset is similarly polished and very sharp. It's a really great look.
This is one of my absolute favorite Lassale designs and I'm happy to present this one to you. It just wears so well.
Watch is running great on a new battery. Includes a brand new lizard print strap.
Last thing - the serial number of this watch is "300001" - that means that it was the very first watch that Seiko produced in October of 1993. Just a little detail that makes this piece extra cool.
