Custom Monochrome | Rado base, manual caliber

Another Monochrome custom - this time with a Rado base. This started off as a Rado Cologny. The watch was likely produced in the early to mid 70's and runs on a manually wound movement. The case is stainless steel, and features a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The crystal is sapphire and has some very small scratches, but nothing distracting.

The process here was slightly different than some of the others I've made due to the brass dial. Instead of using pigments or abrasion, I employed a blackening solution that gave the dial a deep gray-brown coloration. I then rubbed on a very thin layer of wax to deepen the tones.

Watch is running well, and is all original. The crown is signed with a serif "R", and the integrated bracelet is tight and snappy. Will fit a wrist up to ~7".
